You might have heard that the best fries in Amsterdam can be bought somewhere in the center, but this is simply not true!

The locals that are well informed will tell you that the best fries in town can be bought far from the center. In the city outskirts you will find a small shop made from some board wood and a shipping container that is called 'Eiburgh snacks'. The place is run by three guys, one of them being a former Belgian special forces officer.

The shop owner cuts the fries himself every day from fresh potatoes and fries them in fresh oil, resulting in mind blowing good fries!

Word is that the place will be torn down for the city its extension plans, so hurry up and get on tram 26!

The shop is located close to camping Zeeburg, so budget travelers are very lucky. Other travelers should get on tram 26 at central station and get out of the tram at the stop directly after the Piet Heijn tunnel passage. From there take a left and cross the road.

Opening hours are unknown, but best guess is: closed on Mondays and open from 11.30 am to 6 pm. On busy days the place closes when they've run out fries.
