Friday night skate

2007-05-01 | Rating: 8 out of 10

Every Friday evening of the year a skate tour with a length of roughly 20 kilometers takes place through Amsterdam (weather permitting). The Friday night skate is not exclusive to Amsterdam, in many cities around the world you'll find such a skate tour!

Anyone can join in for free under the condition that you are skilled skater and are able to brake. If it turns out you cannot keep up or if you are not skilled enough, you will be asked to quit and practice more before you join again.

Volunteers try their best to make every skate tour through the city safe, but joining the Friday Night Skate is always at your own risk. The tour organization and/or other volunteer workers do not accept any responsibility for injuries or damages. The use of a helmet, wrist-, elbow- and knee protection is strongly recommended!
