In imitation of the Heineken brewery experience it is now possible to have a Bols 'experience'. Bols is a genever and liquor distillery that has been founded in 1575 and recently started trying to change its old fashioned image to a hip and modern international image.

Bols is now a product that should be used in cocktails that are served in trendy nightclubs. It shouldn't be a genever that is drunk by gray haired men in brown cafe's. The makeover can now be experienced in the hip and modern 'house' that is located across the Van Gogh museum.

For 10 euro you basically get a DIY tour in which you can see / smell / touch different aspects of Bols, after the tour you end up in the bar where you get one or more complimentary cocktail(s). The bar actually is the best part of the House of Bols and if it is a quiet day (as it is usually) you can taste more than one drink. Still, it is overpriced.
