Westerpark

The recently updated Westerpark (now 'cultural' park) was designed by Kathryn Gustafson. The cultural elements are a theatre square and the remainders of the former 'gas factory' that has been preserved as cultural inheritance. The park also contains a play pond, a fast-flowing brook, a children's farm and a sloping grass hill.

The park is ideal for lying on the grass, playing football, just looking around or having some drinks on the terrace in a cafe in the former factory.

The park is located North West of the center and can be reached by tram 10 (west bound, Van Limburgstirumplein stop).
